John Mann is one of the most seasoned communications professionals in the CIS and joined Montfort Eurasia in July 2024. He brings with him extensive experience in corporate communications, public affairs, investor relations, internal communications, crisis and special situations, and corporate social responsibility, as well as UHNW advisory.

Prior to joining Montfort, John was based in Moscow for over two decades and led communications for some of the region’s most notable companies, including Petropavlovsk, Millhouse LLC, Highland Gold Mining, and Sibneft. Earlier in his career, he built one of the first communications consultancies in Kazakhstan and was a regular news anchor on Kazakh state television.

A native of Washington, DC, John is a fluent Russian speaker and studied Soviet and post-Soviet history and politics at Harvard University.
