Joe is a Managing Director of Montfort South Asia, based in Mumbai, India. He has assisted sovereign wealth funds and some of the world's leading consultancies and technology firms on business strategy and market entry in South Asia. Joe has also provided political risk analysis, evaluating the impact of regional and national elections on corporate policy.
Joe was formerly the South Asia Bureau Chief for The Daily Telegraph where he covered political and economic affairs and broke world-leading exclusives across India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. He also ran South Asia's largest independent current affairs podcast, as well as regularly writing guest op-eds for political magazines and appearing on mainstream television and radio. Joe was also a long-term mentor at Médecins Sans Frontières in South Asia.
Joe speaks Spanish and is learning Hindi. He obtained his BA from Durham University and MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London.
